Will try to document some kindness and optimism in the world
This year I have had a couple of really life affirming experiences - I met with Elisabeth and Joseph Abrahams, whom I may never see again but will probably always look back fondly upon. An amazing couple, despite their various age related disabilities and advanced years (Jo was 90+) they were determined to stage their self penned play at the Edinburgh Fringe. They came over from America full of optimism, and as their Stage Manager, I too was optimistic whilst around them. I actually made things happen for them!
I must encourage these inter generational relationships - there is so much to learn from people who had experience of things that I don't know.
I left my purse on the x19 bus coming back from Easterhouse the other day. The guy who found it didn't hand it to the bus driver or the police, but googled my address, phoned my parents and arranged for me to come pick it up from his flat. (I was slightly suspicious about this, took Gareth (Vile) as protection and was feeling pretty bad that my parents knew I had left my purse on a bus for a stranger to claim) but he lived in a beautiful building in th Merchant city and was obviously was rolling in it. That was nice that he helped me, wasn't it
(Felt slightly dissappointed there wasn't any real exchange, he gave me the purse, I gave him a bar of Aero chocolate but it was a little awkward and not at all how I imagined it.)
